Privacy notes · updated 9 September 2026

Optional measurement, off by default.

The BakeTally public preview does not offer accounts, payments or customer forms. Optional Google Analytics loads only after a visitor accepts it.

What the public preview stores

BakeTally stores an analytics choice in the visitor’s browser. The key records either accepted or declined so the site can respect that decision on later visits.

What optional analytics measures

Accepted analytics can send page views, approximate location, device and browser information to Google Analytics 4. BakeTally disables Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals in its site configuration.

What happens before acceptance

Google Analytics is not downloaded and no analytics request is sent before acceptance. Keeping analytics disabled does not restrict access to any public page.

Changing the choice

The Analytics choices control in the footer reopens the choice panel. Declining stops future Analytics loading. A visitor can also clear site storage in the browser to reset the saved choice.

Future accounts

BakeTally will publish expanded account-data terms and a dedicated privacy contact before production registration or subscription billing is enabled. This page describes only the current public preview.
